City Administrator

The City Administrator is the chief administrative and executive officer of the city and is responsible to the City Council for the administration of all affairs of the city. The City Administrator is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the City Council. The City Administrator coordinates the implementation of policy decisions made by the City Council.

The City Administrator exercises supervision and control over all City departments consisting of Police, Public Works, Utilities, Code Enforcement, Economic Development, Finance, and Human Resources.

The City Administrator serves as the budget officer and as such prepares a budget for consideration of the City Council and oversees the adherence to the approved budget.

The City Administrator represents the City with outside governmental agencies and serves as a liaison between the City Council, department heads, and the citizens of Crosbyton. The City Administrator makes recommendations on public policies and future needs of the city and makes proposals for applications for state and federal grants.
